T-Hammer Diagnostic tool

Item: 11750

$449,00
Quantity:

T-Hammer, the on-board diagnosis (OBD) tool for use in Porsche 928, 944, 968, 964 og 993 models. 1,5m cable with an OBD2-style 16-pin connector.

The T-Hammer gets the power supply from the car battery, and has no internal batteries. No hassle with worn-out and leaky batteries!

For use in the Porsche 928, 968, 964 and 1994-model 993, be sure to include a 19-pin adapter, sold separately.

Some 928 and late 944-models has an OBD possibility and require a 12-pin adapter.

T-Hammer is made in Norway.

Some of the software functions:

  • Support all OBD-functions in all in-car control units in the above mentioned car models
  • Read/delete all fault codes in Motronic DME, Alarm, ABS, SRS airbag, climate control (CCU), Tiptronic and PDAS (PDAS only in 964)
  • Drive Link actuator test and Actual Values sensor information
  • Test CCU servo outputs, read sensor values and other diagnostic funtions (depends on CCU version)
  • Show environmental variables in Motronic engine control unit
  • System Idle adaptation funtion in the 964 Motronic
  • 964/993 C4 ABS high pressure brake fluid bleed function
  • Supports the 993 Porsche Drive Block system

Important information

The T-Hammer does not support all OBD-functions in 1996-1998 Porsche 993 models. Some of the in-car control units in these (Tiptronic, DME, ABS/ABD, Airbag) can be unavailable or even interrupt/disturb the usage of the tool.

Some 993-models are equipped with a 996 Airbag control unit. This was standard fitment in most late models (1996/1997/1998), but also in earlier vehicles where the control unit has been replaced. The T-Hammer is not compatible with 996 control units.

The Porsche 964 Carrera 2 has an ABS control unit without an OBD-interface. Only the 964 Carrera 4 ABS/PDAS control unit has OBD diagnostic capability.

The T-Hammer might be incompatible with special/rare versions of the Motronic engine control unit, typically GT- or turbo models. We also often see that aftermarket modified engine control unit "chips" disturbs, or even makes OBD connection impossible.

The usage of the T-Hammer is described in the Porsche Workshop Manuals, but we have gathered the most important inforation on our Downloads page.
